A very good started by Nabil Three Star Club.

Nabil Three Star Club (NTSC) missed a chance to go second in Martyr's Memorial San Miguel A Division after being held to a goalless draw to league leader Nepal Police Club (NPC).

The draw left the top three teams within four points of each other with one match of the first leg remaining. NPC leads with 21 points, NRT-which will play against Sankata Kathmandu Mall Club -is next with 2o, NTSC has 18.

Despite dominating the match from the beginning, Three Star failed to take advantage of the absence of police key players like Jumanu Rai, Parbat Pandey, Rabin Shrestha and Bhola Silwal in the second half. Ju Manu and Parbat were slapped one match ban for double yellow cards in their previous match against MMC. Meanwhile, Rabin-who just played 10 minutes of the first half in the same match, was absence due to his injury. Bhola was hospitalized in the second half though he played the first half due to his leg injury.

Three Star was also without their Tanzanian playmaker Castory D Mumbara. Mumbara, who played just three match for NTSC, was shown double yellow cards in his previous match. But still, NTSC took the match under control and made frequent moves and post attempts but were unable to hit their target. Unlike Three Star, police could not make a single post attack. Man-of-the-match Bijay Gurung missed three golden opportunities while Santosh Shaukhala also failed to score once.

NPC defenders lead by the veteran skipper Rakesh Shrestha became the headache for NTSC strikers to score.

Earlier, Tribhuwan Army Club (TAC) defeated Laxmi Hundai Manang Marsyangdi Club (LHMMC) 2-0.
